This half term our Cornerstones topic is Making it Move.
This is a Design and Technology topic looking at cam mechanisms. Children will look at different mechanisms and have a change to design, make and evaluate their own product.
English - This half term we will be covering letter writing. We will be writing a letter from Barney our book character, to his mum to tell her about the adventures he has had.
Reading - Our class book is called ' Stig of the Dump' by Clive King. The children will all have access to their own copy of the class book in school. It's also really important that the children read regularly at home and we will try our best to change books on a weekly basis.
Maths - We are going to cover length and perimeter and fractions this half term. It is also really important that the children practise their times tables everyday and get more confident at recalling them.
Science - This half term in Science we will be looking at forces. We will look at different forces we see in everyday life and then have a chance to explore magnets.
