Parents

Each year our school Year 6 Graduation Ceremony is a wonderful celebration of the children's years of learning and enjoyment at St.Matthew's.

The children recite their most special memories of their time at St.Matthew's and what it has meant to them over their years. These often include reference to favourite activities such as their participation in residentials at Arthog and Kingswood , special days within school such as History days with Humph Histories, and memorable curriculum trips such as the Black Country Museum, the seaside, Hoo Zoo , Art Galleries etc.

The children also vote on and perform their favourite songs, with parents requiring extra tissues!

Certificates are read out and presented which summarise their achievements and also their amazing personal talents and attributes, and two special awards are presented to two pupils with exceptional personal achievements  -  our 'Overcoming Barriers Award' and 'Above and Beyond Award', these are always extremely emotional!

Following the ceremony photographs are taken on the school stage on the field with parents , teachers and favourite friendship groups - it is always a day to remember!
