“I can do all things because Christ gives me strength” Philippians 4:13

This half term our topic is Our Planet, Our World. We will be looking in particular at the UK. We will be covering famous landmarks in the UK and their locations. We will be looking at counties in the UK and what they are famous for.

English - This half term we will be covering narrative writing. We are writing a short mystery story based on our class text.

Reading -  Our class book is called  'The Thieves of Ostia' by Caroline Lawrence. It is a story about a young girl who solves a mystery with her three friends. The children will have access to their own copy of the class book in school. It's also really important that the children read regularly at home and we will try our best to change books on a weekly basis.

Maths - In maths this half term we will be covering time, shapes and measurement. In shapes we will be looking at right angles, acute and obtuse angles. We will also look at the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. In measurement we will look at measuring mass, volume and capacity.

Science - Our science topic this half term is called 'Can you see me?'. We are looking at light, how light reflects off of mirrors and understanding that we need light to see.
